Our client is a female infant 6 months old, who is totally dependent on her family and care team to meet all her needs.  She has Hypoxic Ischaemic Encephalopathy, GORD and Moderate bilateral cortical dysfunction.  She has Nasogastric/Nasojejunal tube feed and needs support with saliva accumulation through administration of repositioning, suction and delivery of the required medication.

She lives at home with her parents and  your role will be to provide full care and support to our client at the family home during waking nights shifts.

There will be an opportunity for you to attend a meet & greet / work shadow shifts prior to going live – this is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate where you will receive A1 training and job satisfaction. 

As a Healthcare Assistant you will have an opportunity to build on your current experience by working directly with clinical interventions including but not limited to:-

NG/Gastrostomy feeding, BIPAP, Cough Assist, Tracheostomy. Suction etc.

Pay Rates from £11.17 - £13.98 Inclusive of holiday pay.

Flexible working:  Shift patterns are:  Waking Nights 22.00 – 07.00  Thursday – Monday 

As a Healthcare Assistant  with Advantage you will:

  • Be committed to providing the highest standard of compassionate care
  • A current enhanced DBS on the update service (preferred but not essential)
  • Sound knowledge of  person centred care
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
